An old building on Grand Rapids’ westside is helping local businesses rebound away from home and without all the expenses some normally might have with a building purchase or rent.

Paul Soltysiak is the owner of “The Hub”, a nearly 100 year old building that was recently renovated, serving the needs of businesses by allowing them to use the space for meetings, wifi, anything in person that many current “at home” businesses can’t do very easily.

“It’s always been kind of a marketing-advertising focused space, not to say that it has to be. It’s energizing to just be able to talk to people and bounce ideas off each other,” Soltysiak explained to Fox 17, adding there is a difference between working at home full-time and being able to get back into an office setting, even if only part-time.

“It’s kind of like, well that’s home and this is work. You know, it’s just a different mindset.”

Currently “The Hub” hosts four businesses and offers two floors, with more than three thousand square feet of usable space and two separate conference rooms. Soltysiak told us most business agree to a lease for using the space, and for local businesses interested, he can be reached at pauls@hollandlitho.com.
