The owners of a Saint Johns grain dealership owe Clinton County grain farmers more than three quarters of a million dollars.
Between 2013 and 2014, Hicks Farm Services reportedly never paid for grain deliveries from five Clinton County farms.
Last month, the owners of the dealership, Thomas and Monique Hicks, plead guilty to intentionally keeping false records and accounts, a felony. As part of their plea deal, both agreed to repay more than $756,000.
It's unclear if the Hicks's will be able to pay. Hicks Farm Services declared bankruptcy in April.
