LANSING, Mich. — Governor Gretchen Whitmer is ordering all state and U.S. flags at half-staff to honor the 12 victims of the mass shooting in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
The governor said on Sunday that her heart is with their loved ones and that the nation can't let mass gun violence become the norm.
Flags should be returned to full-staff on Wednesday morning.
