Governor Rick Snyder is applauding police for catching the suspect in a series of shootings across Kalamazoo County. At least 6 people were killed and two were critically injured in shootings Saturday night.
On Sunday Synder issued said in a statement, "The victims and their families -- and the entire Kalamazoo area -- should be in everyone's thoughts today."
He went on to thank police saying, "Their actions resulted in the suspect being caught before he was able to harm anyone else through these senseless and apparently random acts of violence."
The suspect is identified as 45-year-old Jason Dalton. He is expected to face charges at an arraignment set for Monday.
