Governor Rick Snyder updated us on the progress utilities across the state are making to get power restored after Wednesday's wind storm.
He said many people are going to be waiting for days to get their electricity back.
Governor Snyder said called the storm one of the worst in state history.
"In that storm, to give you an illustration, Consumers had approximately 500 poles break. They had 1,100 poles break in this storm. At the peak, DTE had 4,000 downed wires. In a typical storm they see 600 downed wires so that gives you an appreciation of the magnitude of the storm and how it affected all of Michigan."
Governor Snyder went on to say that in many ways it was worse than the ice-storm of 2013.
