LANSING, Mich. — Governor Gretchen Whitmer is set to rally with teachers in Lansing today to demand more funding for Michigan schools.
She rallied with thousands of people for the same reason last week.
Her proposed plan would pump over half a billion more into the K - 12 budget.
Last week, the Governor criticized a house passed plan that would shift sales tax collected at the gas pump to the roads.
That money is given to schools and local governments right now.
The rally is set for noon a the State Capitol.
