LANSING, Mich. — On Tuesday, Governor Gretchen Whitmer will visit Alpena Community College, Nexteer Automotive in Saginaw, the Flint/Genesee Job Corps Center, and the Flint/Genesee Chamber of Commerce, continuing her “Home for Opportunity” tour. She will meet with students, instructors and leadership throughout her tour to discuss economic and skilled trades development.
Governor Whitmer will tour Alpena Community College to learn about CAD & CAM machinery technology, green building certificates, advanced utility technology, welding and more. Governor Whitmer will meet with leadership of the Saginaw & Flint/Genesee Chamber to discuss how they focus on talent & workforce as an economic development goal, and she will learn about workforce development and skills training from the Flint/Genesee Job Corps Center.
