Governor Snyder has announced a design contest for students to create the cover for the 2018 State of the State program cover.

The contest is open to Michigan high school, junior high and elementary age students.

On January 23, Governor Snyder will deliver his final State of the State address.

The winner of the design contest will have an opportunity to meet Snyder and attend the State of the State address with a guest.

Students can submit their designs today through Friday, Jan. 5. The winning design will be announced Friday, Jan. 12.

Contest entries should be sized to fit on a 5.5 inch x 8.5 inch cover. On a separate page, students should include with their submission their name, phone number, address, and email address, as well as their parent or guardian’s name, phone number, address, and email address.

Students can submit their designs by email to SOTS@michigan.gov.
