JACKSON, Mich. — People in Jackson were visited by Google on Friday.

The company held a workshop for residents on how to use the browser for their benefit.

They learned how to use Google docs and they were instructed on how to get the most out of Gmail.

Other segments of the workshop were geared toward helping businesses utilize the popular search engine.

Francie Krawcke, Executive Director at Michigan Avian Experience said, "What surprised me about today is how accessible things really are, just seeing it available was what was really most helpful for me."

Jackson was one of three Michigan stop's for the Google workshop.

The workshop was free to the public and completely booked.
