GNC is closing 200 stores across the country this year.
The company says it needs to cut costs to deal with more than one billion dollars in debt.

GNC oversees about 3,800 locations in the U.S., including two stores right here in Lansing.
Sales at its U.S. locations were down 1.9 percent in the first quarter.
