General Motors is expected to make a big announcement this morning. The Associated Press reports GM will announce a $1 billion investment in its factories that will create or keep around 1,000 jobs.
No word yet on whether the Delta Township or Lansing Grand River plants will be on the receiving end of some of that billion dollar investment.
The announcement is scheduled for 9 a.m. The AP source says the investment is part of the normal process of equipping factories to build new models, and it's been planned for months.
