The Lansing Police Department is investigating an armed robbery at a gas station.

Officers were called to the Speedway gas station located at 1923 East Michigan Avenue, around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 1, for a report of an armed robbery.

A man walked into the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money from a store employee, police said.

Lansing police say the suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash before officers arrived on scene.

No one was hurt.

A K9 unit was called in to track the suspect but the search was not successful.

The suspect likely got into a vehicle and drove away, police said.

Anyone with information regarding either robbery is asked to call the Lansing Police Department at 517-483-4600.
