Gas prices this morning are still under $2 for regular unleaded, but that could change soon.
Gas Buddy.com sent out an alert Thursday that prices could jump 10 to 35 cents as soon as this morning due to a surge in oil prices Thursday.
Prices spiked about 4% Thursday on the weekly Energy Information Administration Report or EIA due to a decline in gas inventories.
Analysts say wind and rough seas due to Hurricane Hermine have delayed imported oil cargoes headed for US refineries. Gas Buddy says any spike in gas prices will likely be temporary until inventories recover.
