National PSI’s Take Your Dog To Work Day® is Friday, June 22.
It's the 20th annual time for this event. Will you be participating?
In 1999, Pet Sitters International created the day.
They hold the event annually on the Friday following Father's Day.
The idea is to encourage employers to allow dogs in the workplace for a fun summer day. The day hopes to celebrate dogs as great companions and promote adoptions.
If you want your workplace to take part, there are resources online at this address and even a toolkit with information you can use.
“Each year for the past two decades, many businesses—even those not traditionally pet friendly—have opened their doors to employees’ dogs for TYDTWDay,” explained PSI President Patti Moran. “Our toolkit is extremely helpful for businesses that may need tips and ideas for planning their event.”
Pet Sitters International (PSI) did a recent survey that found that pet-friendly workplace policies are considered a benefit by pet-owning employees. And, the employees feel that pets have a positive impact on the work environment.
