Free rides on CATA during area elections

LANSING, Mich. — To ensure transportation for those who want to vote on Lansing City Council’s primary candidates and Meridian Township’s millage and bond proposal, the Capital Area Transportation Authority will offer system-wide free rides to the polls Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2019. A valid voter registration card must be presented upon boarding.

Spec-Tran, Redi-Ride and Rural Service rides must be scheduled by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. Same-day rides will not be available.
