LANSING, Mich. — Jan. 23 was National Reading Day and FOX 47 News celebrated today by donating 1,000 books to children as part of the "Give a Child a Book" campaign.
The books were donated to Lyons Elementary in Lansing and on Friday, January 31, FOX 47 News anchors Sarah Swistak and Julie Williams as well as Meteorologist Claire Cameron spent the morning reading to classes!
Thanks to donations from FOX 47 News employees, in addition to a generous donation from the Scripps Howard Foundation, FOX 47 News was able to stock the shelves at Lyons Elementary.
