EATON COUNTY, Mich. — Friday, four teenagers were charged with breaking into cars in several neighborhoods in Eaton County.

They were just arraigned late this afternoon.

Kemofi Brown, Keyontae Geter, Julon Tolliver, and Ruben Walker are facing multiple counts of larceny, credit card fraud, retail fraud, and resisting an officer.

The suspects are all between 17 and 19 years old.

Sheriff Tom Reich tells us they're connected to break-ins on at least eight streets in Delta and Windsor Townships.

He says they would take wallets people left in their cars... Then use stolen credit cards to buy gift cards at stores in the area.

Over the past two weeks, deputies and detectives from the Eaton County Sheriff's Office have been investigating a series of thefts from automobiles.

Sheriff Tom Reich, the Eaton County Sheriff stated, "It's so important for residents to understand that when they park their vehicle outside, lock their vehicles. Take any personal belongings out of there. Purse, wallet, credit cards, laptops. Take them in the house with you."

Sheriff Reich also suggests going a step further and installing a security camera on your property to monitor the area around your home.

Cameras are also a great tool for home owners and law enforcement.

They not only give people a sense of security, they give law enforcement clear evidence.
