ORLEANS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WSYM) - Four people were seriously hurt after two vehicles crashed head on in Ionia County.
It happened on Belding Road (M-44) near Hoppough Road in Orleans Township Friday night.
An Ionia man was driving a black Hyundai with his girlfriend traveling eastbound on Belding Road when he attempted to pass vehicles driving in front of him.
The driver crashed head on into a maroon GMC pickup truck a Belding man was driving with his son.
Witnesses tell Ionia County Sheriff deputies the black Hyundai was not clear to pass vehicles in front of it.
One person was transported by Aero Med to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. Three others were taken to Spectrum Health by ambulance.
The Ionia County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Orleans Fire, Belding Fire, Aero Med and Life EMS.
