Miquis Lamont Jenkins has been found safe in Benton Harbor.
He was last seen Wednesday afternoon in the care of his 19-year-old babysitter Iyesha Catherine Gibbs, and an amber alert was issued on Thursday morning.
He was located unharmed by Benton Harbor law enforcement. They will return the boy to Grand Rapids.
His babysitter was also located in Benton Harbor and will be sent back to Grand Rapids to be interviewed by police there.
This is an active investigation so charges have not yet been announced.
The Grand Rapids Police Department would like to thank the numerous law enforcement agencies that assisted in locating Miquis including the Michigan State Police, the Benton Harbor Police Department as well as the FBI.
