A former patient is accused of making threats against a Lansing hospital over the weekend.

Thomas Emmons is charged with making a false report of terrorism and malicious use of a telecommunications device. Lansing Police say Emmons called McLaren Hospital on Saturday and made threats against the staff.

Emmons was arrested at his home in Barryton, west of Clare, on Sunday.

Making a false report of terrorism is a felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Emmons is due back in court later this month.
