Former MSU football player caught on camera

LANSING, Mich. — Legal troubles are piling up for a former Michigan State University football star.

The Detroit News reports that Malik McDowell is facing charges of resisting arrest and stealing a truck.

TMZ Sports released video on Tuesday showing a drunk McDowell fighting off a cop and being hit by a taser after a routine traffic stop.

This happened in Lathrup Village according to TMZ.

He is being charged with 2 counts of felony assault and resisting and one misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.

He is due in court in Oakland County this month, and prison time is possible.

McDowell was arrested in 2017 for disorderly conduct.

He was also drafted by the NFL's Seattle Seawhawks in 2017.

However, he has never played a game in the NFL.
