LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - A former Ingham County Judge who was removed from the bench in 2008 has filed a lawsuit against 16 judges, lawyers and state agencies claiming she was the victim of a miscarriage of justice.
The State Supreme Court removed Beverley Nettles-Nickerson from the Ingham County Circuit Court for lying under oath during her divorce proceedings, excessive absences, and improperly dismissing cases.
She now goes by the name Beverley Nettles. Her suit claims she was discriminated against on the basis of race and gender and that her rights to free speech and due process were violated.
