Michigan State University says former federal prosecutor and U.S. attorney Patrick Fitzgerald is leading an internal review of Doctor Larry Nassar's work.
The announcement came Friday during a meeting of the University's Board of Trustees.
Fitzgerald has been behind several high-profile cases including the conviction of two Illinois governors and serving as lead counsel in the U.S' case against Osama bin Laden.
