Former East Lansing city manager dies

UPPER ARLINGTON, OH — A man who spent 16 years leading the city of East Lansing as city manager has died. He was 63 years old.

Ted Staton had cancer.

Staton left East Lansing in 2011 to return home to Ohio and serve as city manager of Upper Arlington.

He retired last month.

Staton leaves behind a wife and two sons.
