The tax foreclosure levels in Ingham County are about twice what they were before the great recession. That's according to County Treasurer Eric Schertzing.
He hosted a community forum Thursday for renters and homeowners to find out what they want to see happen to foreclosed properties in their neighborhood.
He says the reason the number is so high is because jobs aren't paying like they were before the recession.
"So I think we have this long-term adjustment plan in who really can afford to own a single-family home."
