The insurance institute for highway safety has released new crash test ratings for pickup trucks.
The popular Ford F-150 was one of the top performers out of 11 pickups tested in passenger side crashes.
Also earning a good rating was the Nissan Titan.
Both the F-150 and the Titan join the Ram 1500, whose good rating was released late last year.
Honda's Ridgeline earned a high rating in the passenger side test, and is the only pickup so far to qualify for the 2019 top safety pick award.
The Toyota Tundra earned the only poor rating among those tested.
Overall, the insurance institute for highway safety says most pickups need better passenger-side protection.
