Footsteps in snow lead Lansing police to suspect

Sometimes police spend weeks or months chasing down leads before they can make an arrest. Other times they just have to follow footsteps in the snow.

Lansing police tell us that's how they found the man who broke into the Capital Dank marijuana dispensary Wednesday morning.

They were called to the shop on the 1200 block of South Washington Square a little after 2:30. A door had been kicked in and merchandise was missing.

Officers followed the tracks and arrested the suspect a few blocks away. The 34-year-old has not been arraigned yet.
