An extra $2 million is set aside to help replace the lead pipes in Flint.
Governor Rick Snyder announcing Thursday the grant money is coming from the state's distressed cities fund.
The governor says the money will help fund Flint mayor Karen Weaver's plan to begin replacing the pipes.
It appears the money is the governor's attempt to extend an olive branch to Weaver.
Just Wednesday he announced his plan that would first to require a study, before any pipes would be replaced.
Weaver was not on board with that.
Snyder says the additional $2 million shows he is willing to work with her.
