Flint mayor not pleased on pipe replacement time

Posted

Flint Mayor Karen Weaver says her plan to replace lead pipes in the city's residential neighborhoods isn't moving as fast as she hoped.

Since March 4th, Weaver says just 14 homes have received new pipes. Crews were working at five homes last week. Ten more homes are on the schedule for next week.

Mayor Weaver says the city needs more money from the state and federal government to keep the project moving throughout the city.
