Flint: Letters delivered to lawmakers ask for action

Posted

A group of people delivered more than two thousand letters to state lawmakers Thursday calling on them to step up and pass funding to fix the Flint water crisis.

The letters were written by people from all over Michigan. They're similar to the more than five thousand letters delivered last month.

Rigel Dawson says money is needed, because people in Flint are paying for water they can't use.

"We're here today to speak for the people, a lot of people don't have the voice and we're here to be that voice for them and make sure our representatives know what we need."

After delivering the letters the group held a prayer vigil in the state capitol rotunda.
