Governor Rick Snyder has ordered flags to fly at half staff Wednesday in memory of Charles Adams, Jr. Adams was training with the Spring Arbor Township Fire Department when he died from heart complications Saturday.
Adams was a retired Jackson County Sheriff's Deputy and had been volunteering with Spring Arbor police.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Jackson.
