Flags are flying at half-staff across the state in honor of two state lawmakers.
Former senator Earl Nelson and Former representative Jan Dolan both died on November 1.
Dolan, from Farmington Hills, was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 1989.
Nelson was a teacher in the Lansing School District before serving eight years in both the Michigan legislature and senate.
Both Dolan and Nelson were laid to rest this weekend.
