Five people were shot in Lansing early Sunday morning.

LANSING, Mich. — This morning, July 12th, at 3:01 am, Lansing Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired outside of an apartment complex on the 4900 block of Dunckel Rd. Officers contacted three female shooting victims at the scene and two male victims who were no longer on scene. In total, five persons sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds; three females (ages 19, 21, and 26) and two males (ages 23 and 30). All are currently in stable condition and being treated at a local hospital.

Lansing Police Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are currently at the scene investigating further to determine the events which led up to the shootings. More information will be made available as it is obtained. There is currently no suspect information to report. Chief Daryl Green stated, “This senseless act of violence will not be tolerated in our community and we will use all available assets, including our local, State and Federal partnerships, to hold those responsible accountable.”
