Five juveniles were taken into custody for damaging 11 cars and one house with what appears to have been a BB gun, Battle Creek Police Department reports.

Police were called to Garfield Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Friday for calls of damaged vehicles. While officers searched the area, 11 cars and one house was found with damage, primarily broken windows, the department says.

Garfield Ave, St. Joseph Ln, Garrison Ave, Chestnut St, Elizabeth Ave and Guest St were all found to have damaged vehicles.

Officers caught five juveniles in the area and took them into custody. They were found to have evidence of the damage still with them, the department reports.

The juveniles were turned over to their parents pending juvenile court hearings.
