The Ingham County Sheriff's Office and other area first responders will be creating a school safety video at Holt High School from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Sheriff Scott Wriggelsworth asked for this video to be developed in order to better prepare the residents of Ingham County for an active violence incident, concentrating on those that could potentially take place in local schools.

The purpose of this video is to get people to ACT in the event of a potential violence situation: A: Attempt to put as much distance between the aggressor and yourself, as safely as possible. C: Communicate the threat to 911, teachers, and students. And T: Take action.

Representatives from the Ingham County Sheriff's Office, Ingham County Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, Delhi Township Fire Department. Delhi Township Emergency Management, Lansing Police Department, Eaton County Sheriff's Office, and the Michigan State Police will take part in creating this video.
