First responders take part in mock rescue exercise in Dimondale

Posted

Repairing cell phone towers and turbines is dangerous work.

That's why the state is making sure first responders are ready to go at a moment's notice.

Firefighters, paramedics, and state workers all took part in a mock rescue exercise in Dimondale Wednesday.

The teams practiced rescuing an injured worker from a communications tower.

People from the Michigan State Police, Eaton County Sheriff's Office, and the Department of Technology, Management and Budget all participated in the event.
