Firefighters are investigating a structure fire that broke out just before noon on Thursday in Lansing.
When they arrived at Porter and Pennsylvania they could see a resident of a house trying to escape the fire on the roof.
Two dogs along with all of the occupants from the house were rescued.
The residents were transported to the hospital and the dogs were given oxygen at the scene before they were picked up by animal control.
