UPDATE: An electrical fire destroys a home in Delhi Township overnight.
Delhi Township Fire got a call around 9 p.m. from a family in the 1700 block of North Waverly Road who heard crackling in their attic.
After seeing flames, the family and pets escaped the home.
Crews spent the next five hours trying to stop the fire.
The roof of the farmhouse caved in, and fire crews are calling the home "a total loss."
Waverly Road was closed most of the night, but has since been reopened.
Delhi Fire is currently investigating, but there's no suspicion of foul play. No one was injured.
