The East Lansing Fire Department is investigating a fire that badly damaged several units in an apartment building.
The call went out just after 11:30PM Tuesday at Timber Lake Apartments in the 1800 block of West Shore Drive.
When firefighters arrived, flames could be seen shooting out of the roof of the building. It took crews nearly three hours to get the fire under control. The East Lansing Fire Department says the cold temperatures and the overall location of the fire made it more difficult to battle.
There are no reports of any residents or firefighters being injured. The East Lansing Fire Department says all eight units were damaged and the building will likely be deemed a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
