Fire officials respond to a house fire in Bath Township

BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A fire damaged the basement of a home on the 12000 block of Watson Road in Bath Township.

Bath Township Fire Chief David Snider said no one was injured in the blaze, but the 2,300 square-foot ranch-style home was damaged by smoke.

Snider said the fire started in the basement.

Fire officials from multiple departments responded to the fire and the road was closed to traffic while fire officials were on the scene.

There cause of the fire is undetermined.
