Fire Mountain Buffet in Lansing closes its doors for good. The popular buffet shut down this week as its parent company Buffet LLC filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.
Fire Mountain located in Delta Township on Elmwood was a big hit with local families for many years.
Buffet LLC, issued a statement this week saying it filed for Chapter 11 so "it can restructure its debts and liabilities, strengthen its operations by closing certain weaker restaurants and recapitalize its business."
All assets of the Fire Mountain Buffet in Lansing along with other stores that are closing were auctioned off online through the website Auction Nation.
The COO for Auction Nation, Sean Doonan, said "It is sad to see this location close its doors since so many local patrons have been coming here for years."
Other restaurants owned by Buffet LLC include Ryan's, and Old Country Buffet and Hometown Buffet.
