JACKSON, Mich. — The Jackson County Fair is up and running, and everything is new at the fair this year--including the grounds.
It started on August 4 and runs through Saturday, August 10 at Keeley Park. .
"We have redone so many things on the grounds. We have a brand new, fabulous location for food court. We have wonderful eating tents. We have a new location for the midway which is on the infield, which used to be the infield here. We have relocated our parking which is off North Street in a very historic location that Jackson County owns. It's the historic walled prison area," Denise Owens, fair manager, said.
There are carnival rides and barns full of farm animals to check out.
There is also a full schedule of concerts with some big name acts.
Monday night kicks off the line up with ventriloquist-comedian Jeff Dunham.
Regular admission for the fair is $5, children 6-10 years are $2, and children under 5 are free.
