WASHINGTON — A funeral mass will be held Thursday for former Rep. John Dingell in Washington, D.C.
Dingell, 92, the longest-serving member of Congress in history, died last week.
The service for the late Michigan congressman will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in the nation's capital at 10:30 a.m.
Former President Bill Clinton, Rep. Steny Hoyer and former Speaker of the House John Boehner will speak at Dingell's service in Washington.
The pallbearers will include former members of Congress and colleagues of Dingell.
The funeral is open to the public and will be followed by a reception at Dingell's alma mater, Georgetown University.
A motorcade with Dingell's casket will pass the U.S. Capitol, where he held power for years as a House committee chairman.
He will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
