LANSING, Mich. — Fenner Nature Center’s Visitor Center is again open to the public. The indoor space’s modified COVID-19 open hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 6 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The trails remain open everyday from 8 a.m. to dusk.
In accordance with federal, state and local guidelines, the nature center is implementing additional safety policies and procedures. These include one-way entrances and exits, sneeze guards, social distancing signage and scheduled cleanings. The nature center is also asking visitors to adhere to social distancing guidelines, to sanitize hands and to wear a mask when inside the Visitor Center.
“We recognize that these guidelines, like the events surrounding the COVID-19 virus, continue to rapidly evolve,” executive director Liz Roxberry said. “The safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff are of the utmost importance. We will continue to follow the most current guidelines and will update our signage as appropriate.”
