DETROIT, Mich. — The Detroit office of the FBI is confirming they are investigating bomb threats at several locations around metro Detroit, as reports indicate that similar threats are being received across the country.
An FBI spokesperson issued the following statement to 7 Action News:
We are aware of the recent bomb threats made in cities around the country, and we remain in touch with our law enforcement partners to provide assistance. As always, we encourage the public to remain vigilant and to promptly report suspicious activities which could represent a threat to public safety.
Locally there are reports of threats in Ann Arbor and at the Guardian Building in Detroit. Detroit's 36th District Court is also being evacuated, but it is not yet clear if this is connected to the threats.
At this time officials have not reporting finding any suspicious devies.
