BLACKMAN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The suspect in the shooting of a 2-year old was arraigned on three counts of assault with intent to murder and three counts of felony firearm on Thursday.

Michael Christopher Glance, 32, is the father of the 2-year old victim.

The shooting happened on April 16 in Blackman Township.

When officers arrived at the scene they discovered that a 2-year-old boy had been shot in the face and arm with a shotgun.

Glance and the mother of the child were having a domestic dispute when the woman loaded the toddler in the her vehicle and started to leave the scene.

That's when Glance came out of the home with a shotgun and shot the child through the rear-passenger door's window.

The boy is in critical condition at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital.

The man then took off in a vehicle, but was arrested later by police.

The judge set a $10 million bond for Glance. His preliminary exam is scheduled for May 1.
