Eastbound I96 at M52 (Webberville) was closed for a fatal accident from 1:30pm until just after 5pm on Friday.
Ingham County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the accident at 1:30pm Friday. The crash involved a semi and a van.
The driver of the van, a middle-aged white male was killed. There were no passengers. The victims identity has not yet been confirmed. The semi driver was not injured and also had no passengers.
The semi was merging onto eastbound I96 from M52 when it was struck from behind by the van. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
