LANSING, Mich. — Farm Bureau members were at the State Capitol Tuesday lobbying lawmakers to work on various policy issues.
Among the topics talked about Tuesday included expanding infrastructure improvements into rural communities.
Another issues on the table, having enough qualified workers to work on Michigan farms.
"Labor is critically important issue for our industry" said Matt Smego, Manager of State Government Relations For Farm Bureau. "And making sure that we have individuals that are qualified to work on farms. Like other businesses, continue to diversity and innovate."
Farm Bureau members say they're looking forward to working alongside Governor Whitmer to tackle their policy concerns.
