There is a group of men pretending to be cops who have been fooling people, including law enforcement, in Genesee county. Now, those same men are facing felony charges.
Three men have been arrested for posing as police officers.
Officials said the men would respond to 911 calls by listening to police scanners. The men would then show up tot he scene before the real police.
There were even cases were real policemen would ask the fake cops to perform tasks at the scene without realizing they were impostors.
Actual police started investigating after receiving multiple reports or mistreatment by police officers.
The investigation revealed that the people were actually complaining about the fake cops actions; not the real ones.
The fake officers are now in real jail.
