Fahrenheit's license in jeopardy

Posted

The owner of the Fahrenheit Ultra Lounge in Lansing is planning to close his business, but that's not stopping the city from trying to have his liquor license revoked.

The state Liquor Control Commission suspended Germaine Redding's license on Wednesday at the city's request.

A final decision could come at a hearing on March 29th.

Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero says he wants a legally binding agreement preventing Redding from opening a similar club in the same location.

Redding announced he'll close Fahrenheit after three people were shot there early Sunday morning.
